InterWise technology

Look into Interwise. They are very much like the WebEx product. InterWise's big selling point is that they offer voice over IP which, when it works correctly, can eliminate phone charges usually associated with distance learning. If you want more detail, or have additional questions I can answer them. Until about two years ago, I worked for an Interwise customer. At the time, the organizational network did not work consistently with the Interwise bandwidth demands.
Having said that there were problems, here are some things to consider:
- Interwise used to offer hosting services using their network (They used them for sales demos of their product, and it always ran so well that we bought the in house package).
- The technology has probably improved in the last two years.
- The STC environment is no where near as convoluted or burdened as my former employer (100 locations scattered across the U.S., 15-20,000 PCs and laptops, and 250-300 homegrown and shrink-wrap applications competing for bandwidth).
