Creating your Forum Profile (avatar, signature, and more)

After registering on the Forum, you can edit your personal Forum Profile. This profile is public and will be indexed by search engines, although your email address will remain private. As such, include in your profile only the information that you consider suitable for the general public.
To view and edit your profile:
- Register and log in.
- From the top menu bar, click Profile.
- On the left of the Profile page, click an option from the Profile menu for the area you want to edit.
- Make any necessary changes.
- Click Submit.
[edit] Your Avatar
An avatar is a graphical representation of your online "self." It could be an icon, picture, or any other image. If you upload and use an avatar, it will be displayed below your username in your posts.
To include an avatar with your post identification:
- In the Profile menu click Personality.
- In Set your avatar display options click Upload avatar and follow the instructions to upload your image (60 x 60 pixels maximum, in GIF, PNG, or JPG format).
- To display the avatar in your post identification check the Use avatar box.
- Click Submit.
[edit] Your Signature
A signature is a small piece of text that is attached to your posts. It could be a witty phrase, famous quote, or anything else. If you compose a signature, it will be included at the end of your forum posts.
To include a signature with your posts:
- In the Profile menu click Personality.
- In the Compose your signature box, enter the text for your signature by following the instructions on the screen. You can use BBCode to format the text.
- Click Submit.
