The Job
As a member of the Technical Training team, your tasks will include:

  • Instructional design – working in a team of 16 to develop effective, user-friendly course materials
  • Classroom delivery – in front of about 12 learners teaching alone (using live terminal and the team created support materials).
  • Domestic or international travel about 2 weeks out of every 2 months.

 Your Experience
You must be an EU citizen or hold a regular work permit for Italy. In addition we require:

  • Strong background in highly technical subject matter: API knowledge, SQL Server 2005 and relational database experience, familiarity with the following web-based technologies: .NET , ASP, XML. You must be able to discuss issues with programmers and answer complex questions from learners.
  • Technical background to degree level: engineering, physics, or IT
  • Advanced written and spoken competence in English
  • Interest in teaching

The Job
Localize/translate software products, demos and accompanying documentation (online help systems, user documentation) from English into German and/or Spanish. Elaborate glossaries and linguistic resources required to maintain and evolve localized content.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Localize graphical user interfaces and demos into German and/or Spanish
  • Test localized software for cosmetic and linguistic correctness and write resulting error/bug reports
  • Translate technical documentation and help systems into German and/or Spanish
  • Validate and proofread material (technical and marketing) subcontracted to translation vendors to ensure high-level of QA
  • Liaise internally and externally with all localization stakeholders and esp. with the localization manager
  • Create and maintain product information glossaries and terminology databases

 Your Experience

You must be an EU citizen or hold a regular work permit for France. In addition we require:

  • Experience of localizing/translating software products
  • Native speaker of German or Spanish with translation degree and/or IT engineer degree with a taste and a talent for translation
  • Fluency in writing, understanding and speaking English is essential
  • Excellent writing and translation skills
  • Experience using software localization tools and computer-aided translation tools (such as Trados or a similar tool)
