TECHNICAL WRITER – NUREMBERG, BAVARIA, GERMANY
Our client develops innovative entertainment products and technologies used by consumers and professionals worldwide. You will create and produce documentation for developers at licensed integrated-circuit and product-manufacturers who build our client’s technology into their products. Work closely with engineering to develop design guidelines, product requirements, and test materials for the manufacturers. Work on site in Nuremberg with engineering development teams that may be in the same building, on a different continent or a combination of both. Produce clear and concise deliverables and maintain communication between team members.
The biggest job requirement is a track record of documenting technology at a deep level, for engineering audiences. Audio/video technology knowledge is a BIG plus.
Tasks:
- Write, edit and format documentation.
- Develop documentation plans and schedules.
- Establish and maintain understanding of workflow among all contributors.
- Coordinate reviews, compile and integrate comments, and facilitate discussion among team members to gain consensus, resolve content issues and secure approval of final documentation.
- Maintain electronic filing system.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a variety of internal clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (documentation is completely in English).
- College/university degree with five or more years of technical writing experience.
- Advanced experience with FrameMaker and Acrobat and Microsoft Word.
- Working knowledge of on-line Help authoring tools, and Visio, CorelDraw or similar illustration programs.
- Familiarity with documentation control systems, electronic database maintenance, and current publishing technology.

Duration: Full-Time, Staff Permanent Position
Pay Rate: $44,000 - 68,000 euros based on experience and quality of writing samples
