The GNOME Documentation Style Guide is a severely abbreviated version of the internal Sun Editorial Style Guide. For more extensive coverage of the topics mentioned and many more, I recommend getting the third-party generic version of the full style guide, titled _Read Me First: A Style Guide for the Computer Industry_, published by Prentice Hall.

I second that recommendation. Our Tech Pubs department adopted “Read Me First” as our style guide several years ago. It’s excellent.
