Manager’s message August 2006
Hyperviews Online is back for August, after a partial hiatus in July to allow the Online SIG to support the ID-IA and ITC SIGs in putting their newsletters online. Work continues on web services for STC members and online meetings, and more volunteers are always welcome.
Destry Wion of the Online SIG is the admin for the STC Wiki, and there are some projects just getting started. If you would like to participate, please contact Maurice Martin in the STC Office (maurice@stc.org), and ask for an account on the Wiki.
The Online SIG web team also continues to administer the STC Forum, and is exploring options for creating a list archive for topical STC lists that all members can search.
The Online Meetings team is gathering information on podcasting to publish on the STC Wiki, and we are starting to publish chapter meetings in Hyperviews Online.
Rachel Houghton is completing the Online SIG proposoal for a progression at the 2007 STC annual conference, to be held in May in Minneapolis.
