About the Online SIG
Members of the Online Special Interest Group of the Society for Technical Communication develop and share knowledge on all aspects of electronic publishing, distribution, and exchange of information.
Activities
The Online SIG Web Team members have developed and supports web services for all of STC, including the STC Forum. Please visit the Forum; STC members are invited to register and post. If you are a member and experience difficulty registering, please click the link in the Announcement area at the top.
The Online SIG has this collaborative website, Hyperviews Online, replacing the static site for information posted after April 17, 2006. The SIG has an email list and participates in networking events at the STC Annual Conference. Our rechartering report and plan is posted (pdf file).
There are always opportunities to volunteer.
How to join
Membership in the Online Special Interest Group (Online SIG) is open to STC members only.
To see the chapters and SIGs you belong to, log in on the STC site and on the page that opens, click the link for your profile (also at STC Members > Member Services > My STC Profile).
To join the SIG, download the membership change form (pdf). Complete the form and return it to STC. Please provide an email address that you check often, because communication with members is by email. To join STC, download and complete a membership application or join online.

Online SIG Mission: The Online SIG develops and shares knowledge on all aspects of electronic publishing, distribution, and exchange of information.
STC Mission: STC advances the theory and practice of technical communication across all user abilities and media.
