Engineering Interactive Systems 2007 is a working conference that brings together researchers and practitioners interested in strengthening the scientific foundations of user interface design, examining the relationship between software engineering and human-computer interaction and on how to strengthen user centred design as an essential part of software engineering process. As a working conference, substantial time is devoted to an open and lively discussion of papers.
Potential papers include: Integration of software engineering and user centred design Software engineering aspects of user interfaces User interface tools and techniques Engineering aspects of innovative user interfaces. Proposal deadline was December 8, 2006.
STC is inviting technical communicators to serve as judges in STC’s international competitions (technical publications, technical art, or online communication). Judging in the international competitions provides a unique opportunity to share information with peers, network, and get a marvelous view of the best work that our colleagues are producing.
